Deal Data: What the Market Is Telling Us
This session will provide a focused overview of lower middle and middle market M&A trends from 2025, including valuation dynamics and the sectors that experienced increased deal activity. The discussion will also address whether fundamental macroeconomic or geopolitical shifts meaningfully affected transaction volume, pricing, and overall deal sentiment during the year. We will compare 2025 trends to prior years and share what market participants are saying about expectations for 2026. The conversation will examine how general deal terms are shifting, including how frequently rollover equity and earnouts are being used in current deal structures, and what those shifts indicate about risk allocation between buyers and sellers. In addition, we will explore trends among buyer and acquirer types, highlighting changes in behavior across strategic buyers, private equity firms, and other active capital sources.
Participants will earn 1.0 CPE credit in the Field of Study: Specialized Knowledge.
In order to be awarded the full credit hours, you must be present, registering your attendance and departure on the attendance sheets at the registration desk.
