AM&AA Edge: M&A as the Last Art of Finance

In M&A, trust is more than just a handshake—it's the foundation for success. This session, "M&A as the Last Art of Finance," delves into the importance of deep trust in mergers and acquisitions. M&A professionals know that while deals revolve around financials, their true strength lies in the relationships built between parties. Depth of trust is the key to aligning the goals of buyers and sellers and ensuring deals reach a successful close.

This class explores the concept of Depth of Trust—trust strong enough to guide deals through complex negotiations and human emotions. Sharon Heaton, a seasoned M&A expert, will share stories from the field, highlight common mistakes, and provide strategies for M&A advisors to foster and maintain trust in even the most challenging transactions.

Participants will take away:

  • Understand the critical role that deep trust plays in the success of M&A transactions.
  • Learn practical strategies to build and maintain trust between buyers and sellers.
  • Identify common mistakes M&A advisors make that can undermine trust and how to avoid them.

Participants will earn 1.0 CPE credit in the Field of Study: Specialized Knowledge.

Registration is $50 to AM&AA Members and $100 for Non-members.
