Marcel A. Bryar is an experienced attorney and business executive in the mortgage industry. He has more than 24 years of experience working in mortgage operations, business development, regulation and oversight. His expertise includes mortgage origination, servicing, securitization, regulation, policy and market analysis.

Mr. Bryar works with industry stakeholders, the agencies (including the GSEs and government mortgage insurers) and federal and state government policymakers to solve seemingly intractable problems.

Mr. Bryar is a founder of Mortgage Policy Advisor LLC, a Washington, DC based advisory firm. Mortgage Policy Advisors advises mortgage companies seeking to manage regulatory and government policy uncertainty.

The firm also pursues strategic growth opportunities for its clients.

Mr. Bryar has served in executive positions at Fannie Mae and JPMorgan Chase, leading major legal and business initiatives. Most notably, Mr. Bryar played leadership roles in the development and implementation of the Making Home Affordable program, the servicing alignment initiative of the Federal Housing Finance Agency, Fannie Mae’s regulatory consent order and JPMorgan Chase's implementation of the National Mortgage Settlement.

Mr. Bryar has a Bachelor of Arts from Yale University (1987) and a Juris Doctor from Yale Law School (1993).
