Since 2017, R. Christopher Baker has been General Counsel for Nations Lending Corporation, a mid-sized non-depository residential mortgage lender headquartered in northern Ohio and operating in all 50 states, plus the District of Columbia. Baker oversees the legal department functions and advises on topics ranging from regulatory matters and corporate governance to contract negotiations and HR. Based out of central Texas, Baker came to Nations Lending after spending several years as compliance counsel to a Houston-based lender, advising on the regulatory changes following the 2008 mortgage crisis.
