Clay has an extensive background in civil litigation, consumer finance, and real estate law. Prior to joining McMichael Taylor Gray, he litigated cases throughout Florida involving commercial disputes, admiralty and maritime law, insurance defense, estate administrations, real estate litigation, mortgage foreclosures, and bankruptcy, and closed numerous residential and commercial real estate transactions as well. For 12 years, Clay served at Carrington Mortgage Services, LLC in various roles, including as its Director of Default Mediations and Litigation, where he guided Carrington’s contested foreclosure, mediation, trial witness, document fulfillment, and attorney oversight teams, and resolved litigation impacting the company’s default portfolio throughout the U.S. Today, Clay is back where his career began; zealously advocating for investors and servicers of residential and commercial loans in court, but with a unique perspective gained while employed in the mortgage servicing industry.
