Ben Mayer attended the University of South Alabama and graduated in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a Minor in Chemistry. Mayer attended Cumberland School of Law at Samford University, from which he graduated in 2014. He was admitted to the Alabama State Bar and began his legal career representing debtors in Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy. In 2019, Mayer became licensed to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office and has since utilized his background in science to represent inventors and entrepreneurs by drafting and prosecuting both utility and design patents for his clients in his capacity as a solo practitioner prior to joining McPhail Sanchez, LLC. Mayer has experience representing all manner of clients in both civil and criminal matters in both state and federal courts. He is licensed to practice in state and federal courts in Alabama and the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
