Michael Shea is a native of Tampa and a graduate of Florida State University with a bachelor’s degree in finance. After a brief career in the banking industry, Shea accepted a sales position at SGP Advisors. At the time, the firm consisted only of two partners, with no employees, operating only in Florida. He became responsible for SGP’s geographic expansion and quickly grew its client base nationally. In July of 2012, Shea acquired a majority interest in the agency and took over as President. Today, SGP Advisors maintains over 4,000+ clients in all 50 states
